With the trifecta of tough issues facing the White House, we decided to check in with the Master of Disaster, Chris Lehane, on how public officials can be successful using Lehane’s “Ten Commandments of Damage Control.”
We also spoke with our old friend Matt Bennett, senior vice president and founder of Third Way, about how a “Summer of Scandal” may make more difficult President Obama’s ambitious second term legislative agenda, particularly passage of Manchin-Toomey. Matt has worked closely with the families of victims of Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut as they lobbied the Senate for the bill’s passage on its first vote earlier this year.
