Phil Alongi, former 30-year veteran of NBC News specials and, most recently, executive producer of the Republican National Convention, files his after-action report on three days in Tampa and what lies ahead for his next gig: producing the pool feed for the first Presidential Debate scheduled for the University of Denver on October 3.

And Adam Belmar, co-founder of Polioptics now helping to produce the stagecraft for Romney-Ryan, retraces a summer of events, the convention highlights and visual cues for a fall full of campaign imagery.

And about Clint Eastwood? There’s too much to say, and it’s already been said. He’s an American treasure and a fine actor but, like everyone else in the spotlight, can benefit from scripting. I’m looking forward to seeing him next in Trouble With The Curve, in theaters September 21.
